WebMar 13, 2013 · Acetone. Buy a can and pour it into glass deep enough to soak the barrel in overnight. It may take a day or 2 but it will soften the paint and remove it. It evaporates quickly so the taller and thinner the glass the better (less surface area means less evaporation). --Jerry. WebThe stuff used here is a very cheap brand, Ice. Inexpensive is nice, but unfortunately, with nail polish, you get what you pay for. Tho stuff will chip and wear almost immediately and negate all your hard work. My suggestion would be OPI or China Glaze. Those have some significant staying power. Gel polish is great too, if you can swing it.
